Hazel Vickers, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Hazel Benavides Vickers, M.A., BCBA, graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology. She completed her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Ball State University. Hazel has over 10 years of experience conducting parent education trainings and interacting with families from diverse cultural backgrounds throughout Southern California. Her knowledge of group dynamics and experience empowering parents to advocate for special needs children is a skill she carries into her role as Clinical Site Director at EDAC, Orange County. In addition, she is an Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) certified therapist, has extensive experience leading social skills groups, developing education goals and plans. Hazel believes that the best part of being a therapist is seeing individuals achieve their own goals and helping parents learn strategies to facilitate their children’s development. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.
Clinical Team
Ruby Aguirre, a bilingual behavioral therapist comes to our team with 12 years of experience working with children and families with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the school setting with Newport Mesa Unified School District. As a Behavioral Interventionist she has been an in-home Senior therapist and also worked in the clinical setting through the University of California Irvine. She earned her Master’s degree in ABA with an emphasis on Autism from National University and her undergraduate degree from Vanguard University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. She envisions herself becoming a BCBA with an ESDM & GESDM Certification to further her knowledge to help families and the community.
Jennifer Nguyen is a Behavioral Therapist who works with persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders from the ages of 16 months to 18 years old. She has been working with children with autism for 9 years. She truly believes that the best reward in her field is when her clients are able to live a meaningful life with tools they have learned throughout the years to become independent. Jennifer has taught educational and informational class in Vietnamese. She has hosted and created wellness classes for children with autism. Jennifer is a Registered Behavioral Technician under the state of California. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Cal State University of Long Beach. She would like to further her education to gain more knowledge and understanding in the field of autism.
